Raised in Lancaster, PA, Sid Weiler, made is journey to Sarasota, Florida in 1976. He began his swimming pool career packing concrete pools. After several years working with his brother at Weiler Pools, Sid quickly learned the ropes and began overseeing design and all aspects of construction.

 

In 1979, Sid Weiler went to school for his pool contractor license. Achieving this, he began operating and established his very own swimming pool company.

 

Along the journey, new developments, technology & updated products within the pool industry has fueled Sid's passion. One of the greatest developments has been Rubber Deck Surfacing, which quickly caught his eye.

 

In 2006, Sid Weiler pioneered rubber decking to South West Florida as a safe and attractive solution to solve pool decking concerns like cracking, painting, water spots, high maintenance and more.

Fast forward to 2021 and BLU Pools and Spas became a multigenerational company, owned and operated by the entire Weiler family. You will find pools in our blood line and we are proud to say that we all have a passion and talent for designing, building and creating outdoor living spaces for families who value time together.
